It happens the same time every week. Tuesday.
Mondays are usually pretty annoying, but Tuesdays are their sister and, therefore, just as bad. Now, if I'm being honest, I got a lot done yesterday and I can't complain too much. And look at me now, doing a blog post like a boss or something. Maybe Tuesdays aren't that bad.
Anyway, there's a lot happening in the Mabie Camp this summer. Books! Updates and things for past and current series. New books. New covers. New characters. New stories with some familiar characters. Danny is playing a lot of shows, and we're not doing many signings this year because, frankly, I got a little burned out from the traveling part. (Note to self: UPDATE THE DAMN EVENT PAGE ON THIS WEBSITE AND PUT IT BACK UP! I'll add that to my to-do list.)

Here are some answers to the questions you've been asking.
Q. When is it releasing?
A. I'm announcing the release date during the cover reveal.
Q. All right, Smartass. When is the cover reveal?
A. Friday, April 28th. BOOM. Blew your mind, huh?
Q. Will there be a pre-order?
A. Yes, a short one.
Q. Will I love Cord and Dana?
A. Yes. They rock, and so do you, and everyone rocks, and you'll love them. Easy-peasy. Next question.
Q. Is ALL THE WAY part of a series?
A. Damn good question. That all depends on you, me thinks. There are secondary characters who have a story to tell, but I'm hesitant to officially start another new series. Let's see how you like All the Way first, and then we'll go from there. Okay? Okay.
Q. Why are you so damn stingy with teasers and stuff for this book?
A. Shit. I think you're right. (Another note to self: MAKE SOME DAMN TEASERS, DAMMIT!) I'll be doing that in the next few days, too. It's always hard for me to select passages and quotes. It's like fin
ding a picture of yourself and saying, "Here look at me!" Sometimes it feels weird.
So that, vaguely, is what's up with All the Way.
Furthermore, there are some pretty exciting things coming for the Wake Family Series—specifically, Troy and Audrey's story in TIDE. That book will have all of the angst and strife you've come to expect from those crazy Wake people, with some appearances from your favorite re-pants wearing Lou and his honeybee.
I also have a rough outline for the next City Limits book, which has a working title (which could still change) of Smoke and Mirrors. Have I told you that? No. Shit. Okay, well... it's Smoke and Mirrors. There. That book will be a second chance love story for two Wynne locals who you've already briefly met. (I can't tell you everything. What fun would that be?)
I'm still working on a box set for Bait, Sail and Anchor. I can't find the right picture for a cover. So, yeah. Also, I have some fun promotion lined up for the series that I'm looking forward to. You'll see more of this probably tomorrow.
Fade In audio is in the proofing stage. I'll be the first to admit, I've been so damn slow with this project. It always slips my mind and I suck when it comes to audio. Probably because I'm not a huge audio person, but I know a lot of you are. So, slow as I am, I'm wring on it.
The Very Second Time—the book that will kill me—news. I made some really great progress with it earlier this year, but, like I've said before, it's just a harder, slower process for that story. Everything has to be just so, just right for it to work. Every piece of it has a purpose. Also, I made some pretty big decisions about how I'll deliver Felix and Margret's story to you, which required to to set it aside again for just a little while.
What else, what else? Oh! I should mention that I'll be collaborating with a crazy talented bunch of writers for a special anthology project called The Vault. You'll hear more about that from me later this summer. It's pretty cool and I'm excited to work on it.
